pricing
Free while we're in beta. $15 after.
One plan with everything in it, priced per team rather than per seat. No card to start, and nothing to choose between.
What it costs
Zidl is free for every team for as long as the beta runs. After that it is $15 per month, per team. There is one plan, it contains everything, and there is no tier above it holding the feature you actually need.

Pricing per team rather than per seat is a deliberate choice about who gets to file. The whole argument for Zidl is that the person who found the bug is the person who reports it — a designer, a founder, someone in QA, whoever happened to be clicking. Charging per seat would put a small toll on exactly the behaviour the product exists to encourage, so inviting one more reporter does not change the bill.
What is included
All of it. The list below is not a plan comparison — it is simply what Zidl does.
- Unlimited sessions and projects
- Pin-to-source-file resolution — the component, file, line and column behind any element (how that works)
- The step recorder and its Playwright export (how that works)
- The Excalidraw drawing overlay for annotating a page
- The shared board: labels, severity, status, assignees (how that works)
- Teams, email-matched invites, and the four roles
What counts as a team
A team owns projects; a project owns sessions; a project is identified by one key. Members join by email-matched invite and hold one of four roles — owner, admin, member or viewer. Every account also gets a personal workspace alongside its team, which is not billed separately.
team → projects → sessionsOne team per account covers most companies, because the unit that matters is the group of people looking at one board. If you need several — separate clients, or business units that must not see each other's boards — that is a conversation rather than a checkbox, and the board docs explain why the boundary sits where it does.
Questions people actually ask
Do I need a card to start?
No. Signing up takes an email and gets you a project key. There is nothing to cancel if you decide against it — delete the script tag and every trace of Zidl is gone from your app.
Does it cost anything to have my developers on it?
No — the price is per team. Developers, designers, QA and whoever else needs to point at something all sit inside the one bill.
Will this slow down or break my production app?
It is off in production by default. The tag names the hosts it is allowed to run on, so the same markup is safe to ship everywhere, and it mounts in a shadow root so it cannot reach your styles or your bundle. The developer notes cover isolation, versioning and what the recorder refuses to capture.
How does it compare to what we pay now?
Most visual feedback tools bill per seat and per project, which is what makes them expensive precisely when they start working. The comparisons go through the differences in detail — BugHerd, Marker.io and Jam.
